Business Development Manager

Job description

We are looking for a leading Business Development Manager to cultivate healthy long-term relationships with existing and prospective Luxury Institute clients by selling mutually beneficial research and consulting solutions to top global luxury brands.

Candidate must be intelligent, optimistic, articulate, and accomplished at developing relationships with individuals in top management positions. Additional qualities that will allow the Business Development Manager to thrive include creativity, self-motivation, and enthusiasm. Candidate must also have polished presentation skills worthy of the luxury industry and be able to close sales quickly and effectively.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Independent business development executive with 6-8 years experience
  • Solid background in selling market research, consulting services, highly respected memberships, publications, or other information-based products for major brands/corporations
  • Prior experience in selling directly to senior executives at small, medium and large businesses
  • A friendly, respectful and trustworthy attitude and voice
  • Unquestionable ethics
  • College degree required

Consultant

Job description

    Consulting

    • Manage all aspects of client projects including creating, editing and finalizing client documents and presentations
    • Conduct interactive client Workshops and lead client meetings
    • Drive and develop stronger and more profitable client relationships
    • Proactively gain industry knowledge and understand all aspects of the luxury industry

    Research

    • Manage the back-end and start to finish process of fielding and publishing Luxury Institute syndicated research
    • Write research proposals for custom qualitative and quantitative client projects
    • Independently coordinate with research analysts throughout project duration for all projects
    • Manage all aspects of syndicated and custom research projects including creating questionnaires and final reports with detailed analysis

    Marketing

    • Newsletters and Emails: determine content, manage the distribution of online newsletters and emails, and report actionable findings and results
    • PR: oversee press releases and liaise with journalists and editors to ensure consistent press coverage for Luxury Institute
    • Events: plan all details of Luxury Institute events and execute flawlessly

    Desired Skills and Experience

    • Bachelors degree from a top-tier university with at least 4 years experience at a top-tier global consulting firm or global research firm
    • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
    • Organizational skills and attention to detail is a must
    • Ability to take analysis into action and execute to timelines
    • Aptitude for working with Internet tools (i.e. databases, web-based reports, and various multimedia technologies)
    • Microsoft Office proficiency
    • HTML knowledge preferred
    • A friendly, respectful and trustworthy attitude and voice

    Sales Assistant

      Sales

      • Contact and set up meetings with executives from top-tier luxury brands
      • Proactively gain industry knowledge and understand all aspects of the luxury industry to assist with business development
      • Maintain and enhance Luxury Institute database on a daily basis with prospects and leads from the luxury industry
      • Seek out and pursue new business opportunities

      Coordination

      • Organize and maintain calendars to ensure proper implementation of schedule including engagements of Luxury Institute CEO
      • Maintain files, presentations and company documents in an orderly fashion

      Marketing

      • PR: compile journalist and editor requests, track and maintain log of brand press mentions, and update the blog and brand website with relevant articles and videos
      • Educational Organization Membership and Dues Management: manage approvals, renewals, and expirations of members

      Research and Consulting

      • Support all aspects of syndicated and custom research projects including editing as needed
      • Support all aspects of client consulting projects including scheduling and coordination as needed

      Desired Skills and Experience

      • Bachelors degree from a top-tier university with at least 1 to 2 years Marketing or Research experience
      • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
